Position: Translator

Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School is seeking translators for its 2007 Dance Intensive program. This 2.5 week summer intensive will welcome students from across Canada, the US and beyond. The translators will be engaged from August 5, 2007 – August 22, 2007.

This position reports to the Recreational Division Registrar and will work closely with other artistic and administrative School staff during Dance Intensive. The translators will be required to attend orientation sessions, classes and extra-curricular activities in order to assist students participating in the program.

Interested candidates must be fluently bilingual in English and Japanese and able to translate in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are also required.

The position requires the successful completion of a criminal record and child abuse registry check. Previous experience working with children and young adults and some knowledge of dance would be an asset.
