This note came in from Cornelia Kuchmy, who knew Arnold Spohr, Gweneth Lloyd & Betty Farrally.
I live in London, England, and will be 84 next
Birthday and knew Arnold Spohr before he got involved in Ballet. He was a very competent pianist and we used to walk home from piano
classes together. We both studied piano with John Melnyk.
I used to accompany Saturday morning Ballet classes and knew both Gweneth Lloyd and Betty Farrally. They were both an inspiration to all pupils and committed to making a success of the Ballet school.
It is lovely for me to read of the continuing success.
We contacted Ms. Kuchmy and she was able to send us a couple photos. She wrote: 'The first photo is of all of John Melnyk's pupils taken on April 14, 1946
and Arnold is there, in the front, and large as life! We were all in our late
teens!'
