Senior RD student, Becky Frohlinger attended the prestigious Broadway Theatre Project in Florida to hone her skills in Musical Theatre and also spent two weeks at the Edge Performing Arts Centre in L.A. where she worked with professional choreographers and teachers.
The following RD students attended the RWBS annual Dance Intensive program which featured teachers from the RWB School and Company. They enjoyed daily ballet class along with a full day of other dance disciplines while making new friends and going on fun-filled activities in the evenings.

Former RD student, Gillian McKee was recently accepted to attend the fall/winter program at the Alberta Ballet School's - Professional Program after a successful summer audition.
Congratulations to former RD students Matthew Klippenstein and Michel Lavoie after being accepted into the regular session within the RWBS Professional Division upon successful auditions over the summer.
Over the summer, Zenya Veryha participated in the Ukrainian National Amateur Dance Competition in Dauphin and won Gold for her duet. Zenya also attended a jazz workshop conducted by a member of the cast of the touring production Wicked which performed over the summer in Winnipeg. Along with Zenya, Megan Gareau, Katie Welham and Omar Benson attended the event which was hosted by Dance Manitoba.
On a monthly basis, the Recreational Division distributes newsletters such as this one via email to all current students and RWB staff. We like to include recent accomplishments of our students which are dance related. Please email any information regarding your child’s recent involvement in workshops and summer programs to Kelly Bale. We will try to include them whenever possible.
