Elizabeth Lamont | Corps de Ballet

Originally from Waterloo, Ontario, Elizabeth began training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division in 2004. She joined the RWB as an Apprentice in 2010 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2011. 

 

Lamont has danced the roles of Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Mome Fromage in Moulin Rouge® – The Ballet, and the principal female in the comedic Pas D’action. Her repertoire also includes Forsythe’s The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Quantz’s In Tandem, and Mark Godden’s Svengali. She has also appeared in Dracula, Nutcracker, Wonderland, The Doorway: Scenes from Leonard Cohen, Giselle, Swan Lake and Twyla Tharp’s The Princess & The Goblin.


During her years in the RWB School, Lamont received various scholarships, including the Founders Scholarship and the Arnold Spohr Scholarship. As a student, Lamont performed lead roles such as Mercedes in Don Quixote, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and Gulnare in Le Corsaire.
