Ingrid is proud to be back
for her sixth season with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Her constant
wanderlust has been satiated by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet touring across
Canada, the United States and to Israel in 2010. Wanting the tour
experience from all points of view, Ingrid drove the production truck to
Jacob’s Pillow in Massachusetts in the summer of 2012 to support the Company in
their triumphant return to the world renowned Festival in the Berkshires after
almost 50 years. It was a four day drive; one way!
Ingrid also continues to
play an active role in Peter Quanz’ Q Dance projects and accompanied
Peter and his company to the 2010 Canada Dance Festival in Ottawa at the NAC
with In Tandem, the 2012 Spring to
Dance Festival in Saint Louis and the 2012 Gotham Dance Festival in New York
City at the Joyce Theatre in Chelsea with In Tandem and Luminous. She is a continual
supporter of Q Dance from its inception as a founding member to its
fourth season this year.
Ingrid has traveled the
high seas as Stage and Production Manager for the Royal Caribbean International
cruise line. She has visited many sites in the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexican
Riviera, South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. Ingrid has been "on the
road" stage managing national tours of She Loves Me, Grease,
Chicago The Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, CATS, Starlight
Express, West Side Story and even stage managed a production of 42nd
Street in Moscow, Russia. A lover of classical theatre, Ingrid took
on the Bard at summerstock Shakespeare Festivals in Boise, Idaho and Cedar
City, Utah. “All the world’s a stage…”
Ingrid fulfilled the duties
of Stage and Company Manager for the Alberta Ballet for the 1989/90 and 1990/91
seasons. She travelled to Phoenix, Arizona to participate in Ballet Arizona’s Nutcracker
and Spring program in 1991/92 and returned to Alberta Ballet for the Nutcracker
in 1992.
Ingrid is an avid
motorcyclist and returns to Winnipeg each year after spending her summer
vacations traveling the winding roads of Canada and the U.S. She has
completed a 2004 rally from Mexicali, Mexico to Kelowna, British Columbia in
four days on her R1200 BMW and a 1999 rally from Nogales, Mexico to Medicine
Hat, Alberta on her 650 Honda Nighthawk. Ingrid also spends time underwater and
swam with dolphins in the Red Sea during a scuba diving trip to Egypt.
The travel bug hit her
early and was an asset after graduating from the Theatre Production Department
at Grant McEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta in 1987 and a stage management
internship at the Banff Centre of Fine Arts in 1987/88. Ever since, she has
gone where the work is and has visited every state in the union and every
province in Canada (and one Territory).
