The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School seeks an experienced, full-time jazz teacher for its Recreational Division. This permanent, salaried position will commence August 1, 2013.
This position includes teaching 18 – 24 hours per week within the Recreational Division during the Fall/Winter Session while coordinating various annual projects. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the standard of the RWBS’ jazz programs, working to ensure our students are receiving the best opportunities to develop their talents within the established standards of the RWBS. This will include maintaining and updating the RWBS jazz curriculum while working with the other RWBS jazz program teachers in ensuring the curriculum guidelines are being followed. Conducting regular pedagogical meetings with the jazz program staff will also be required. This position will also teach during either the annual Dance Intensive or Adult Summer Dance programs offered each summer; choreograph for RWBS student participation in festivals, conventions and competitions; and coordinate RWBS performance opportunities as directed by the Recreational Division Principal.

The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School is internationally recognized as a school of excellence. Over 1,000 students register annually in the Recreational Division taking classes at our Winnipeg studios.
