Nine Winnipeg dancers among scholarship winners

Winnipeg, MB (November 14, 2014) – Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division recognized the talent and dedication of current students this week at RWB School’s annual Scholarship Presentation Evening on November 13. Students from across Canada and around the world were presented scholarships and awards to support their continued study at the world-class training institute.

In addition to the award presentations, staff, sponsors, and proud family and friends were treated to a performance by senior students that included classical excerpts from Nutcracker and La Bayadère along with contemporary works featuring the music of Leonard Cohen (Suzanne) and hip hop by local choreographer, Eugene Baffoe.

“It is a true pleasure to watch our dancers develop as young artists each year and to recognize their growth and achievements,” said RWB School Director, Arlene Minkhorst. “Scholarship Presentation Evening is also our opportunity to express our gratitude to our generous scholarship donors. We sincerely appreciate their support.” The RWB School thanks their generous sponsors and donors for their continued support.
