Johnny Chang in Keyhole
RWB's Senior Ballet Master reunites with Guy Maddin, taking to the silver screen for Maddin's newest film Keyhole. Toronto International Film Festival describes Maddin's newest film as "Idiosyncratic, cheeky and uncategorizable, the films of Guy Maddin are testaments to the singular vision of a great contemporary cinema artist, and Keyhole may be his boldest film yet. A surreal indoor odyssey of one man, Ulysses Pick (Jason Patric) struggling to reach his wife (Isabella Rosellini) in her bedroom upstairs, this hypnotic dreamlike journey bewilders and captivates".
Johnny plays Chang a suitor to Isabella Rosellini's character, a rival to her husband played by Jason Patric.
This is Johnny's second time working with Guy Maddin. He played Dracula in Maddin's Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary.
TIFF runs from September 8th-18th and Keyhole screens on Friday, September 9 at the TIFF Bell
Lightbox 1 at 5:30pm and Sunday, September 11 at the AMC 3 at 12:30pm.
