Winnipeg, Manitoba (August 3, 2012) – Fairy tale fantasies will come alive at the Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Glitterati Forever After Party to be held this Friday, August 10 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
Celebrating the upcoming Canadian premiere of Twyla Tharp’s The Princess & The Goblin in October, Glitterati’s fairy tale-themed evening will give attendees a sneak peak at the costumes from the newest show with a fashion show performance, and tours of the imagined creatures and invented worlds of the Fairy Tales, Monsters, and the Genetic Imagination exhibit at the WAG
This 18-plus Forever After Party event will also feature a spellbinding electro soundscape by DJ Sammy SoSo, where fans of the RWB can hit the dance floor and mingle with Company dancers. Dress up in Fairy Tale Fantasy inspired costumes to win fabulous prizes!
“Glitterati is RWB’s party of the year, and an exclusive opportunity for fans of the RWB to meet the dancers that they always see performing on stage,” said Nicole Verin-Treusch, Audience Development Manager for RWB. “The fairy tale theme is really popular right now in all forms of media, and we’re really excited to be partnering with the WAG to give people a chance to step into their own fairy tale fantasy through both dance and art.”
Tickets for the event are $20.00 for current RWB and WAG
subscribers and $25.00 for
non-scribers and at the door, and includes access to both the costume fashion
show and a tour of the Fairy Tales, Monsters, and the Genetic Imagination
exhibit. Tickets can be purchased by calling (204) 956-2792 or by emailing
