The RWB School Professional Division offers a full-time seven-level training program beginning in September and running through mid-June.

Students are trained in classical ballet based on the Russian School. This system develops a versatile young artist with strong technique and the ability to be internationally competitive.

RWB School students work intensively in ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux and variations.

As well, students receive a comprehensive education in creative movement, modern dance, improvisation, choreography, historical dance, character and Spanish.

Professional skills are developed and honed throughout the year at School performances and events full-length RWB Company productions.

A strong academic education is as important to a young dancer’s career as dance itself. RWB School is committed to supporting the academic education of its students and to that end, has established strong partnerships for the delivery of the academic curriculum. Students in academic grades 6 -8 attend academic classes at Nordale School within the Louis Riel School Division.  Students in grades 9-12 attend academic classes at Collegiate at the University of Winnipeg.  The academic studies are integrated into the daily dance schedule.   

Our Residence staff provide transportation to and from Nordale for our younger students.  The Collegiate is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the RWBS facilities.

In addition to dance training and academic course work the Ballet Academic Program curriculum is augmented by classes in music, art, dance history, conditioning, nutrition, & performance enhancement delivered by the RWB School.
