A native of Saskatchewan, pianist Donna Laube has been a part of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School since she moved to Winnipeg in the fall of 2006. As an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists, Ms Laube received a Master’s degree from McGill University in Montréal. Subsequent summer programs took her from Alberta to Austria, where she received intense coaching and performance opportunities in both the German Lied and the operatic field.
While based in Montréal, Ms Laube appeared on numerous occasions on CBC Radio Two as both a chamber musician and choral accompanist. She has also performed both as a soloist and accompanist at provincial and national competitions. In addition, Ms. Laube served as staff accompanist for three summers at the Camp musical des laurentides in Québec. Since her arrival in Winnipeg, Ms Laube has been involved with the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and is active as a freelance musician.
