Scott Andrew | Faculty; First Steps Co-Coordinator

Mr Andrew comes to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School from Whitby, ON, a small suburb east of Toronto. As a young student, Mr. Andrew attended classes at local dance studios and took part in local theatre productions as well as performances with the National Ballet of Canada, which included Romeo and Juliet, Manon and Swan Lake.

Mr Andrew has been privileged to train with many of Canada’s leading professional dance training institutions, such as l’Ecole Supérieure de Danse, the National Ballet School of Canada and his home away from home, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Upon graduating from the RWB School Professional Division with distinction, Mr Andrew became an apprentice dancer with the RWB Company. He has performed across Canada and on many international stages.

Mr Andrew teaches ballet technique in both the Professional and Recreational Divisions of the School. In addition to, he also coaches and teaches pas de deux classes for the PD students. He is instrumental in choreographing and rehearsing dancers for performances such as First Steps, In Concert and Dance Spectrum.
