The Teacher Training Program is an intensive course designed to enrich knowledge and provide skills required for a career in dance education. Students study elements of technique to develop their ability to teach dance with confidence and sensitivity.
The program is offered as a three-year course but applicants with a professional dance background may be eligible to graduate within two years.
The program can facilitate the training of teachers teaching at recreational and professional levels, depending upon an applicant’s aptitude and experience.
Our graduates enjoy 100% employment success upon completing the Teacher Training Program.
Students of the Teacher Training Program also enjoy many other opportunities while studying at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School including:
§ Sharing an open rapport and training environment with the world-renowned Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company
§ Receiving Cecchetti syllabus certification
§ Instruction from our dedicated Professional Division faculty who have spent over 30 years developing and teaching the Russian technique
