On the Edge
Nothing tells the story of the struggles and triumphs of dance like the artists themselves. On the Edge, featuring the RWB Aspirants, is an innovative mixed programme of original choreography and quintessential ballet classics that will transport audiences on a journey to discover dance in its purest form.
2017 will feature the iconic Peter Quanz’s piece In Tandem. Other choreographers feature include several RWB Professional Division alumni including Philippe-Alexandre Jacques who most recent debuted pieces with Dr. Robert Woodgate “A Day in the Life of a Young Person Living with Anxiety”. His choreography will also debut as part of a Canada’s 150th project, Sesqui which is a 360 degree video filmed across the country and includes an RWB feature in the St. James International Airport.
Also featured is Aspirant Choreographer Erin Atkinson who recently walked away with several awards from the First Steps Choreography Competition with her piece Look Up as well as RWB Company Apprentice Philippe LaRouche.
Tickets are nearly sold out for the Wednesday & Thursday performances, but great seats are still available for Friday, June 2 and include a licensed reception catered by RWB Chef Wayne.
We are delighted to share this work with you and hope that you can join us!
