Mrs. Potosky is a classically trained soprano and holds Bachelor of Music and Education degrees from the University of Manitoba where she studied with Tracy Dahl. She is a 3-time vocal trophy winner for the Winnipeg Music Festival and Provincial Vocal Class winner. She is a member of the vocal group Antiphony and has performed with many other professional groups including the The Winnipeg Singers, Canzona, Renaissance Voices, A Musical Offering and Camerata Nova.
She has taught choir, drama, vocal jazz and musical theatre at Maples Collegiate and Glenlawn Collegiate where she directed and produced 4 musicals. She directed the Wes-Man Youth Chorus and the Provincial Women's Chorus and teaches solo voice. She completed her grade 10 piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music and has 13 years of dance training.
Paula also sings/plays in an original indie-pop band (Modern Romantics) with her husband and was a member of Coleco. She loves musical theatre and most recently appeared in MTC’s production of ‘White Christmas’ (2010). She has also performed with Rainbow Stage and Upfront Productions. She will be co-directing and choreographing this year’s show with Upfront Productions called: ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Office’.
