Thousands of elements make up the ballet production the audience finally sees on stage. The Creations Fund was established to provide financial support for all aspects of dance creation and production, from choreography and costume design to professional coaching and musical accompaniment.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Sustaining Applause Campaign in support of the RWB’s Creations Endowment Fund. We are delighted to report that the Campaign surpassed its original goal of $10 million and to date sits at a total of just over $14 million in pledges and gifts.
Building the Creations Endowment Fund continues to be an important priority for Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
The Fund is generating annual resources which are directed exclusively towards the creation of new ballets such as Moulin Rouge - The Ballet, Wonderland and Svengali. The Fund also supports the revitalization and refurbishment of current repertoire.
Donations received by November 25, 2011 are eligible to be matched by the Canada Cultural Investment Fund - Endowment Incentives Program.
