Nutcracker: Style at the Ballet
Filbert the Bear is shopping local for the holidays! He spent the day checking out some great local boutiques, searching for the perfect outfits for his ballet friends to wear to Nutcracker. Check out his haul!
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet is proud to take part in Unwrap WPG, a shop local initiative by the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. This holiday season, we encourage Winnipeggers to support the local economy and shop the wonderful local businesses that make up the heart of our city. Use #UnwrapWPG and #styleattheballet on your tweets, posts and pics to show off your locally purchased Nutcracker outfits!
Chestnut Lane Boutique
First stop: Chestnut Lane at 568 Academy Rd. Filbert found so many great pieces in luxurious fabrics, and Tanice helped him coordinate the perfect ballet chic outfit.

The Diamond Gallery
Filbert can’t resist sparkly things, so a trip to the Diamond Gallery is always exciting. He found some beautiful items for women, men and even children. Visit them at 1-1735 Corydon Avenue, and be sure to follow them on Facebook.
Eph Apparel
Next stop: Eph Apparel at 291 Garry St downtown. Filbert was like a kid at a candy shop - with so many fabric colours and options, and for such an affordable price, he wants all his friends to get fitted for a new custom fitted suit.
EMK Clothing
Filbert loves to shop local, and all the better if the product was MADE locally too. He visited his friend Erin, owner of EMK Clothing at 143 Sherbrook St, and discovered beautiful handmade pieces at great prices. Be sure to like them on Facebook!
Lennard Taylor Design
Last but not least, Filbert went to see his friend Lennard at Lennard Taylor Design at 223 McDermot Ave. Lennard helped Filbert find amazing clothes and accessories for both men and women that would be perfect for a night at the ballet.
