Professional Division Summer Session
Summer Session is the second phase of the audition process for the RWB School’s three professional programs: Ballet Academic, Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant and Teacher Training Programs. Admission to Summer Session is by audition only; please see our auditions page for details.
CLASSES & SCHEDULE
Summer Session allows students to experience life at the RWB School, from the rigours of a professional training schedule to the student boarding environment. It is also an opportunity for students to lay the foundation for strong working relationships with our artistic faculty and take classes with some amazing guest teachers, such as RWB Company dancers.
Classes will be offered in ballet and pointe technique, movement improvisation, historical dance, modern and character dance, conditioning, variations, repertoire and pas de deux and run from Monday to Saturday. Additional classes may include nutrition, visual art and music.
CAMPUS
Students attending Summer Session can choose to stay in the beautiful and modern RWB Student Living Centre. Designed by award-winning Canadian architecture firm Architecture49, the Student Living Centre is the home-away-from-home for our Professional Division students and is connected to the RWB studios by a secure passage.
ACTIVITIES
Winnipeg is a unique and diverse city, a close-knit community with all the amenities one might expect in a big city. Students have the option of participating in an assortment of extra-curricular activities on evenings and weekends. Organized and chaperoned by Student Boarding staff, these activities feature some of the best and most popular attractions in Winnipeg.
