LEAD Winnipeg

LEAD Winnipeg brings together people who identify as women, two-spirit, and/or genderqueer for an inspiring weekend of Leadership, Empowerment, Action and Dance.

LEAD empowers participants aged 16 to 26 to make a positive impact in their communities through the arts. With dance as a foundation, this free regional workshop, hosted by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and powered by Canada’s National Ballet School, explores leadership theory and practice, and fosters skills and confidence to support participants in taking on leadership roles—now and into the future.

Through participation in the workshop, participants will:

  • Participate in movement classes lead by professional artists who represent diverse styles and practices.
  • Collaborate and communicate with peers.
  • Learn how community arts initiatives can be a catalyst for positive change in their community.
  • Further develop their leadership, communication, and social and emotional skills.
  • Learn about available online tools and supports.
