The Quantum Program
Each year, the RWB School Recreational Division partners with Winnipeg School Division and other professional arts organizations to deliver the Quantum Arts Program. Funded through donations to the Children’s Heritage Fund, participating students come from all over the Division and spend two hours, twice a week during school time dancing at the RWB School. Quantum Program students take classes in three styles: modern, jazz and classical ballet. At the conclusion of the program, students from all three streams of the Program – dance, theatre and fine art – share their work in a finale performance.
This incredible program has touched the lives of countless young people over the years. Our hope is that Quantum Program participants are returning to their schools and communities and sharing their newfound love to dance and the power of this positive form of self-expression with their friends and families. “Opening our classrooms to share the love of what we do is a wonderful experience not only for the students, but our staff too. The program is most rewarding when you can see the progress that the students have made during the finale after only eight short weeks,” says Nicole Kepp, Recreational Division Principal.
