Lush and dreamy, Swan Lake has endured as the quintessential classical ballet thanks to its iconic choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece score. Wicked sorcery from the Baron von Rothbart has trapped the Princess Odette in the form of a swan. A glimmer of hope comes in the form of the gallant Prince Siegfried, but deception threatens to unravel the lovers’ rescue when von Rothbart transforms his daughter Odile into Odette’s likeness to enthrall the Prince

Perhaps the best-known classical ballet of all time, Swan Lake also enjoys the prestige of being the first of Tchaikovsky’s three full-length ballets, with Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty completing the trio. The ballet premiered over a century ago in Russia and remains timeless because of the range of human emotions expressed through dance and Tchaikovsky’s luminous score. This poetic work resonates with melancholy and hope and features breathtaking choreography and visually magnificent sets evoking a Renaissance court. Get drawn into the story of Odette, a princess-turned-swan and the heroic Prince Siegfried, until the love-soaked conclusion as the fabled lake of the swans rises into view, inspiring awe for generations to come.

“A beautiful production that gave me chills until the very end.”
