To say that Cheyenne Schroeder loves musical theatre would be a serious understatement. Ms. Schroeder has been sharing her talents with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School since 1999, as a musical theatre instructor for the Recreational Division, and musical appreciation and musical history teacher for the Professional Division.

When not teaching at the RWB School, Ms. Schroder has worked as Musical Director in four professional mainstage shows and choreographed two professional mainstage shows at Manitoba Theatre for Young People (MTYP). She directed and choreographed Sleepy Hollow, Into the Woods, Pirates of Penzance, The Drowsy Chaperone, Legally Blonde, and Footloose for the Musical Theatre Company at MTYP. Ms. Schroeder was Choral Director and choreographer for Quo Vadis and Musical Director for Cannibal the Musical for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival and Mamma Mia with the Musical Theatre Company at MTYP which hit the stage in 2019.

Ms. Schroeder has choreographed for the CBC Documentary, Fourth Period Burnout, and created award-winning pieces for the Manitoba Dance Festival, Los Angeles Dance Force, The Red River Exhibition Stars of Tomorrow Talent Competition and The Maccabi Games. She studied performance piano, classical guitar, and voice through Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) and the Royal Conservatory. In addition, she has taken a conducting seminar with Maestro Tak, Professor of Conducting at UCLA. As a performer, Ms. Schroeder has appeared in musicals such as Plain and Fancy, The Wind in the Willows, Grease and Charlotte’s Web.

Originally from Saskatoon, Ms. Schroeder received her training in piano, voice and drama at Rosthern Junior College. Ms. Schroeder is a proud mother of two children who both love dancing at the RWB School.
