RD Artistic Faculty
Emilia Radawetz is a born and bred Winnipegger whose love for teaching dance was fostered by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Teacher Training Program, where she received her Associate qualification with Cecchetti Canada. A recipient of the Kally Kenedy Scholarship for her talent and potential as a future ballet teacher, Ms. Radawetz joined the Artistic Faculty of the RWB School in 2017. She is delighted to be teaching creative movement and ballet, as well as coaching Recreational Division students to prepare for the RWB Company’s Nutcracker performance while also working at the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association Daycare.
Growing up in Winnipeg and with her passion for dance, it was only natural for Ms. Radawetz to pursue her dance training at the RWB School. During her youth she also danced at the St. Anne Ukrainian Dance School and the Rozmai Ukrainian Dance School and Company, followed by the Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School. In addition to teaching at the Sopilka Ukrainian Dance School and dancing with the Verba Ukrainian Dance Company since 2014, she has also been a guest ballet teacher at St. Paul and District Ukrainian Dancers, Athabasca Ukrainian Folk Dance Club, and Shumka Ukrainian Dance School, all located in Alberta. Ms. Radawetz holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is currently finishing her degree in Education at The University of Winnipeg.
