Katrin Benedictson

Katrin Benedictson took over as Vice Principal of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Recreational Division in 2016, a role that has allowed her to share her love of dance with the hundreds of students every year.
Throughout a decade of teaching, Ms. Benedictson has taught creative movement and ballet in both the RWB Recreational Division, and Satellite Program. Focussed on instilling the joy of dance in all her students, Ms. Benedictson draws upon knowledge gained from the many mentors she has studied with throughout her training. She has studied her craft widely, attending the summer program at The Quinte School of Ballet, and numerous Cecchetti conferences and workshops.
Ms. Benedictson was born and raised in Winnipeg and began her dance training at the RWB School at age five. She participated in the Intensive Training Program in the RWB Recreational Division as well as summer dance intensive programs. During her time at the RWB School, Ms. Benedictson performed numerous pieces at the Manitoba Dance Festival.
A graduate of the RWB Teacher Training Program, Ms. Benedictson earned her Associate Diploma with the Cecchetti Canada and her certificate in Applied Anatomy and Physiology.
