Kersey Sarao was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a well accomplished dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor. He has established himself as an innovative and emerging talent in the Winnipeg dance scene.

He is currently the director of Project Company which is a competitive dance team based in Winnipeg. Project Company has placed in many elite competitions throughout Canada and the United States. In 2016 they represented Canada at the hip hop internationals in San Diego. In addition to his work with Project Company, Mr. Sarao is one of the first generation members of Gagobrothers which is a longstanding bboy crew that was established in 2006.

Mr. Sarao is a strong advocate for musicality and textures which is something he pushes to demonstrate within his choreography and teaching. His hard work and determination has lead him to teach in various places around the world. Currently, Mr. Sarao teaches hip hop at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and continues to train and expand his dance vocabulary by training in other cities in Canada, as well as training in LA. He enjoys being able to exchange knowledge and energy with his students and colleagues. He says; “Being a teacher/choreographer you get to see and learn from everyone especially my students! Its always a never ending circle of learning/sharing!”
