RD Artistic Faculty

Magdalena McGregor may be relatively new to the Artistic Faculty, but she is no stranger to Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, where she was enrolled as a student at the tender age of three! Now a teacher of creative movement preparing young students for the demands of ballet and jazz as they become older, Ms. McGregor received her Flamenco dance training from Centro de Baile Jerez in Spain and holds accreditation from the International Music and Performing Arts Examination Board of London for the Spanish Dance Society’s Nivel Cinco Examination.

Ms. McGregor began her teaching journey at the RWB School in 2012 and in the interim has also taught at the Brandon School of Dance Summer Intensive Program. From 2010 to 2018, she was a student of the RWB School Intensive Training Program, and during that time performed with Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in their production of A Chorus Line, in addition to performances at the Winnipeg Art Gallery for their Picasso exhibition premier. As a student, Ms. McGregor was honoured by the RWB School with the Jean Mackenzie Scholarship, the 2017 Assistant Teaching Scholarship and on three occasions, received the Senior National Scholarship at the Manitoba Dance Festival.
