Maureen Kinnear
As an alumna of both the General and Professional divisions at RWB, Maureen possess a unique perspective that blends the history of RWB with the contemporary challenges and opportunities it faces today. Her personal journey from ballet student to technology executive has instilled in her an appreciation for the values and training imparted by the RWB, which continue to underpin her personal and professional pursuits.
Maureen brings over two decades of global leadership experience in technology teams within the software, energy and agriculture industries. She is currently Chief Technology Officer at Winnipeg’s own Payworks. Maureen’s previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Information Technology at G3 Canada Ltd. and a distinguished 15-year career at ExxonMobil, where she concluded her tenure as Chief of Staff to the CIO.
Maureen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Computer Science from the University of Manitoba. Maureen is also an active board member of Manitoba’s own Enterprise Machine Intelligence & Learning Initiative (EMILI), helping to advance Canada’s digital agriculture sector.
Maureen’s career has taken her all around the world, and across Canada and the USA, which has developed in her a strong appreciation for learning about different cultures and supporting diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging.
Through her global travels and work, she has grown a strong affinity for the power that the arts have to connect us all.
