Larouche is a dancer, choreographer, stager and dance teacher who hails from Laval, Québec, and is currently based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. An apprentice with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet for two seasons, he danced many classical and contemporary works on stages in China and across Canada and the US. During this time, he was also a company member of QDance, directed by Peter Quanz. Recently, his duet Better Together was performed at the Canada Games Opening Ceremonies and he had the opportunity of performing Freya Olafson’s CPA in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Last fall he performed Backbone with Red Sky Performance at Canadian Stage in Toronto. His newest work commissioned by the RWB entitled “For Bye and About” will take the stage this May for its World Premiere. In the last year, Larouche has staged Val Caniparoli’s A Cinderella Story on Orlando Ballet and is engaged to stage a new production choreographed by Septime Webre, set to take the stage as part of the RWB’s 2018-2019 season.
