Rebecca Parkinson
Rebecca Parkinson has always had a love and appreciation for her community and the arts; recognizing the important role that the arts play in building communities.
She began her career developing mobile and web content directed at youth and young adults. As director of creative development, she travelled throughout North America and to the UK to attract, develop, and maintain business partners. She later moved into marketing and communications with Red Bull Canada, working with them for nearly ten years.
Following her years in marketing, Rebecca got involved in electoral politics, directing political campaigns for candidates at the provincial and federal levels. She now works in the office of the President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, serving as a Senior Regional Advisor for the Prairies and the North. Her current role allows her to be heavily involved in community issues at both the local and regional level.
Rebecca is a life-long supporter and season ticket holder of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She first developed her love and appreciation for the art form as a dancer in the RWB’s recreational program. Rebecca has served on the RWB’s Gala Committee since 2015, joining the Board of Directors in late 2018.
