Sarah Davey began dancing at the age of 3. She graduated from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division in 2009, and has also attended summer intensives at the Banff Summer Professional Dance Program. Davey joined the RWB Company as an Apprentice in 2009, and was promoted to Second Soloist in 2014.
Since joining the Company, Davey has performed in Moulin Rouge – The Ballet®, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Dracula, The Ecstasy of Rita Joe, Carmina Burana, Romeo + Juliet and Q DANCE. Along with members of the Company, Davey performed Itzik Galili’s Hikarizatto and Mark Godden’s As Above, So Below before an international audience at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad. Most recently she was seen as the Stepmother in Val Caniparoli’s A Cinderella Story, Myrtha and Tall Swans in Swan Lake, Sugar Plum Fairy and Arabian in Nutcracker, summer lead in James Kudelka’s The Four Seasons, and as the Faerie Queen in The Faerie Queen - A Ballet Based On A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
In October of 2014, Davey went to China as part of the Company’s China tour, and the following year took part in the Company’s tour to Europe.
