Taisi Tollasepp joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company in 2023 as an Apprentice after training in the RWB School Professional Division’s Ballet Academic Program. She was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in the fall of 2023.
Notable roles for Taisi include Young Clara in Nutcracker, and Snow White in Angelin Preljocaj’s production of Snow White.
Born in Toronto, Taisi began training in the recreational program Canada’s National Ballet School when she was four-years-old. She trained professionally at Canada’s National Ballet School, before moving to Winnipeg to train in the RWB School Professional Division’s Ballet Academic Program, where she graduated with distinction. In her time as a student in the Ballet Academic Program, Taisi received several awards Taisi received several awards including the Douglas & Elizabeth MacEwan Scholarship (2022), the Prince Edward Award (2020 & 2021), and the Evelyn Hart Scholarship (2020 & 2021).
When she’s not dancing, Taisi loves to bake and travel to experience different cultures around the world.
Taisi hopes to one day dance her dream role of Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, as she finds the role artistically and technically challenging.
