Originally from Saskatoon, Dobrowney graduated from the RWB School Professional Division and was chosen as a participant in the Banff Professional Dance Program. From 2008 to 2016, he danced with the RWB and was promoted to second soloist. In 2016, Dobrowney joined the Lviv National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ukraine where he held principal roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Scheherazade, Coppelia, Carmen Suite, Giselle, Snow White, and Carmina Burana. Under the artistic direction of Canadian choreographer Peter Quanz (Q Dance), he danced the part of the “Foreigner” in The Red Crowned Crane with the Wuxi Song and Dance Theater, touring Canada and China. Dobrowney returned to Canada with the Atlantic Ballet for its 2018-19 season, dancing lead roles in Don Juan and Figaro.
