Bio
Magdalena McGregor may be relatively new to the Artistic Faculty, but she is no stranger to Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School itself, which she enrolled in at the tender age of three! Now a teacher of creative movement preparing students for Ballet and Jazz. Ms McGregor received her Flamenco dance training from Centro de Baile Jerez in Spain and holds accreditation from the International Music and Performing Arts Examination Board of London for the Spanish Dance Society’s Nivel Cinco Examination.
Ms McGregor began her teaching journey at the RWB School in 2012 and in the interim has also taught at the Brandon School of Dance Summer Intensive Program. She was a student of the RWB School Intensive Training Program from 2010 to 2018 and during that time performed with Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in their production of A Chorus Line, as well as performances at the Winnipeg Art Gallery for their Picasso exhibition premier. As a student, Ms McGregor was honoured by the RWB School with the Jean Mackenzie Scholarship, the Assistant Teaching Scholarship (2017), as well, she received the Senior National Scholarship at the Manitoba Dance Festival on three occasions.
