Virtual Auditions and Workshops
Congratulations! You and/or your child are taking the first step to turn a dream into reality – thank you for choosing us!
Each year, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School goes in search of talented dancers to join one of three full-time Professional Division programs: Ballet Academic, Aspirant and Teacher Training Programs. Typically, auditions and master classes are held in 15 to 18 cities across Canada and the United States. Students identified as having potential for professional training are invited to attend Summer Session, which acts as the second phase of the audition process.
WHO CAN TAKE A CLASS?
- Students must be entering academic grade 6 in September 2022 in order to audition.
- No previous training is required for young students and no special preparation is required for the class.
- Students who don’t feel ready to audition but would like to participate in the class are encouraged to pre-register and check the appropriate box on the Audition Registration Form.
- Audition classes are “closed” to observation; thank you for your cooperation!

Professional Development Workshops
We are pleased to announce a series of professional development workshops to support continued training for dance teachers. If your lessons feel like they could use a breath of fresh air, if there is an area you would like to learn more about or if you’d simply like to get together with like minded individuals that are excited to get back to the studios please join us!
Dance educators can register for the entire series or individually, but if you register for all three at once, you save a few dollars! We look forward to you joining us.
