Plan Your Visit
Whether you are new to the ballet or a longtime fan, here are some tips to help make the most of your time with the RWB.
Come As You Are
Everyone is welcome at the ballet. There is no dress code for our events, though many of our patrons enjoy the opportunity to dress up for the occasion. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and fabulous.
Getting Here
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet performs at the Centennial Concert Hall, located at 555 Main Street in downtown Winnipeg, next to the Manitoba Museum. We encourage patrons to arrive early and consider using public transportation whenever possible. A Winnipeg Transit stop is located just outside the theatre, and a traffic loop is available for arranging drop-off and pick-up. If you’re travelling by car, please allow extra time for parking.
Visit our FAQ page for more details on accessibility features at our performances.
Parking
A heated parkade located beneath the Centennial Concert Hall is available for patrons attending the ballet. Parking can be added on with your ticket purchase – or prebooked at a discounted rate for our subscribers. We recommend booking early, as this lot tends to fill up quickly and spots may not be available on the day of your performance. Additional parking options, including surface lots and street parking, are available throughout the Exchange District and Waterfront areas, all within walking distance of the theatre.

Before the Show
Arrive early to enjoy a beverage or snack from the concession stands located throughout the lobby and upper floors of the Concert Hall. Take in live music from an RWB pianist, browse our merchandise boutique, and capture a fun moment at our photo booth to create lasting memories. For your convenience, restrooms are available on both the main level and the second floor.
Intermission
Many performances include a brief intermission between acts, which is the perfect opportunity to browse your program or take advantage of any of the above activities you may not have had time for before curtain.

Enhance Your Experience
We offer a variety of complimentary activities to make the most of your visit to the ballet.
- Join us on the Piano Nobile 30 minutes before curtain on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays for a pre-show chat, where we discuss creative themes behind the performance.
- On our Sunday matinee performances, stay 15 minutes after the show for a meet-and-greet with some of our Company dancers.
For those looking to make their evening even more memorable, we also offer premium add-on experiences.
- On Saturday evenings, enjoy our exclusive Dinner & Ballet event—a catered pre-show experience available with your ticket purchase.
- On most Friday and Saturday evenings, you can also book a behind-the-scenes backstage tour, including a conversation with a member of our Production team.
Please note: The above activities do not apply to Nutcracker, which has its own lineup of ancillary activities.
