Bio
Born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Ancaster, Ontario, Julianna Generoux joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as a Company Apprentice in 2022 and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2023. Following her debut as Aurora in Christopher Stowell’s The Sleeping Beauty, she was promoted to Soloist in 2026.
Julianna trained at Hamilton City Ballet, where she developed her passion for ballet. At the age of 10, she returned to Alberta and continued her training at the Alberta Ballet School in both the Recreational and Professional Divisions. In 2016, she was accepted into the Ballet Academic Program at the RWB School, graduating in 2020 before spending two years in the Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program.
Since joining the Company, Julianna’s career highlights include Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Gretel in Loughlan Prior’s Hansel and Gretel, Clara in Nutcracker, the Principal Couple in Carmina Burana, Summer in James Kudelka’s The Four Seasons, the Principal Couple in Dwight Rhoden’s Odyssey, and performing šɛgatəm at the Fall for Dance Festival in New York City.
Julianna’s dream roles include Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. She is also inspired by the work of renowned choreographer William Forsythe and hopes to one day perform in Blake Works, featuring the music and vocals of Grammy Award-winning artist James Blake.
Outside of the studio, Julianna enjoys hiking, camping, fashion, playing with her cats, and spending time with friends and family.
