Bio

Rachael McLaren began her formal dance training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet school, and continued at the Ailey School under the direction of Denise Jefferson, studying Ballet, Pointe, Graham, Horton, Partnering, Improv, Jazz, and West African. She was a member of Ailey 2 and a leading dancer with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for 11 years. She has performed in over 20 countries, averaging 200 performances a year during her tenure with Ailey. Rachael’s theater credits include Mamma Mia! (Mirvish/ Phyllida Lloyd) and Fame(WST/Erin McGrath) and choreography credits include Miss Shakespeare (WST/Erin McGrath) and Little Women (RMTC/Katie German). Rachael is also an actor and performs stunt work for various local film and television projects.
