Born in Maitland, NSW, Australia, he trained at the San Francisco Ballet School, advancing from the Pre‑Professional Program to Trainee in 2025. During his time at the School, he performed with the San Francisco Ballet in student, apprentice, and corps de ballet roles in productions including Swan Lake, Nutcracker, and Manon.

For the world premiere of Undertow, Dufty was chosen by choreographer Dana Genshaft to originate a role. He also performed soloist, demi‑soloist, and group roles in Trainee performances including Tarantella by George Balanchine, Nutcracker by Helgi Tomasson, and the world premiere of 1941 by Esteban Hernandez. His repertoire includes Quattro a Verdi by Michael Smuin, Vivaldi Concerto Grosso by Lew Christensen, Water Baby’s by Viktor Plotnikov, and excerpts from Balanchine’s Four Seasons.

In 2022, Dufty appeared in the International Ballet Gala, performing alongside principal artists from The Royal Ballet, The Royal New Zealand Ballet, and Stuttgart Ballet. He was also a member of the National Youth Ballet Company, featured in a triple bill choreographed by Graeme Murphy.
